Boing Boing: Duck swallowed alien?

The drake in question arrived at the center Sunday with a broken wing. Workers do not know how the mallard was injured, but it was clearly weak and emaciated. In an effort to pinpoint the trouble, Maria Travers, the assistant rehabilitation manager, took a radiograph image of the bird.

She was stunned by what she saw.

“Look at this,” she shouted. “It’s an alien head!”

I’m writing web apps for living now, so this was a good thing to read.

Cgisecurity.com: Web security News - 05/23/2006 Keep your Web applications secure

“Web-based applications are the portal of choice for mischief and illegal entrance to your organization’s network. That’s why you need to defend your network by arming yourself with the knowledge of how attacks occur–and learn how to fix the problem before someone finds holes in your network security armor.

When it comes to Web application security, many companies just scan their systems for vulnerabilities and call it a day. These are two entirely different areas, and you should address them separately for any network application.

Let’s take a look at the top three Web application security flaws you need to be on the lookout for….”
